Heather O. Mapp has been a licensed dental hygienist and dental hygiene educator for the past twenty-six years. She founded Dental Hygiene Seminars in 1991, and is now very proud to be a very active participant of the largest provider of dental hygiene seminars, nationwide.
Ms. Mapp received her degree in dental hygiene from Clayton state college, in
Jonesboro, Georgia. She received a Bachelor's Degree in English from North
Georgia University, and a Master's Degree in Health Education from the
University of Georgia.
Heather served as a clinical dental hygienist at the Emory University
School of
Dentistry in Atlanta, Georgia for twelve years, and has also worked in
public
health dentistry, periodontal and general practice. In 1989, she helped
with the development of a dental hygiene program in North Georgia, where
she remained as program director for sixteen years. In addition to her
administrative duties, Ms. Mapp also teaches courses in Clinical Dental
Hygiene, Special Needs patients, and Periodontology, Her program boasts
a very successful 98% pass rate for state and National Boards since 1990.
Heather has given numerous presentations on Dental Hygiene Education,
and authored the Introductory chapter in a dental hygiene board review
textbook published by Prentice Hall and edited by Mary Cooper and Jacque
Brian. |
